Back Pain Management System Author Bio

I'd like to tell you a bit about myself, I am married with two children.

I enjoy both playing sports and watching sports. I have played basketball, baseball, volleyball all at college level and have been a sprinter to county standard.

I coach several different sports, having worked as a sports development officer and a visiting lecturer within the college system. I have been involved with a charity for people with special needs for 20 years. I also run a youth club and holiday play schemes for this charity.

I am a qualified sports therapist and have been for the past nine years. I have worked with some talented sports people as well as the general public.

My experience as a sportsperson and coach gave me the drive to work towards my sports therapy degree. I have worked with many patients and one of the recurring themes is back pain.

No matter what the injuries people present with, they also along their journey at one time or the other would complain about a sore back. This got me thinking about a way I could help my patients and myself as I also started to suffer back pain as I got older.

I wanted a way that I could help more people. I could not physically work on each and everyone. So I devised a program which was easy to follow, easy to implement and in a user friendly format.

This was the beginning of the back pain management system, I used all my experience within the aerobic, athletic and weight training fields.

I based the program around strengthening the core muscles and in that way the spine would be supported.

With a few tricks that I learnt from my sports therapy I have refined this system to incorporate all that's needed to control your back pain.

I work with some of my patients who want and need further details to tweak and make sure the program is right for them using other techniques such as:

  • Digital Ischemic pressures
  • Trigger points
  • Positional release techniques
  • Muscle energy techniques
  • Nags and snags
